'Silk and Scraps' Tote Bag- Part 2 of 2

Side one mid-way through felting...

 ...and side two.

Cutting a hole for the tote handle.

Embellishments of dyed silk and wool yarn....

                                                       ...pieces of pre-felt...

                                              ...and synthetic chenille yarn...

...(trapped under a layer of gauzy silk)...

                                                            ...all conspire...

...to lend a sense of frivolity...

                                                        ...and a jolt of color...

                                                       ...to the finished bag!

Definitely a day-time bag, and just in time for Spring too. It came out just perfect. Very happy and cheerful. Just seeing it puts a smile on your face. :)

Thanks, all!
Funny, isn't it, that it was made from castoffs?!? :)

I love it! It's so colorful and I love the fact that one side is brighter than the other so that you can match the best side accordingly with what you are wearing!! Great job as always for the pattern you created, it looks like a surrealism painting.
